euphoria by Calvin Klein Eau de Parfum SprayReviewsWonderful perfume purchased for my daughter. She is thrilled with it and I "borrow" it when she isn't around..... This is the best perfume ever! I've tried many others and still do go to others just for something different and I always come back to Euphoria. I receive so many compliments, even from men. Most of the time I can't smell it, but I continue to get great comments...mostly asking what fragrance I'm wearing! It's very subtle and not overpowering at all. I received the product quickly and the packaging was perfect. My only complaint is that the fragrance was very light as compared to other Euphoria purchases that were made at department stores. The price was very good. I have heard that shipping by air may affect the fragrance. As time goes by the fragrance seems to get stronger. I bought with this seller and the Euphoria was FAKE!!! The fragrance does not fix the skin and the perfume does not come with the label. REGRETTED!!!!!!!!!! I only wish this was available in a true "perfume" form. The Eau De Parfum doesn't "stay" as long as I would like, but it is still a nice scent. Average Rating:![]() |

Pink Sugar By Aquolina For Women. Eau De Toilette Spray 3.4 OuncesReviewsObviously fragrance is a very personal matter. Because we all have our own personal body chemistry, one fragrance can smell quite different on various people. For that reason, I am not going to urge you to buy Pink Sugar. I can only say that I love this fragrance! I first smelled it at a Sephora store some time ago and I could not get the scent out of my mind. I finally bought some and I love it so much I am now on my second bottle. I pretty much wear it daily. I find it hard to categorize. When you first put it on it does smell like a mix of cotton candy and vanilla, but as the day goes on the smell deepens. It is actually a very complex scent and it is really hard to describe. I absolutely adore this fragrance - but will you? The best thing to do is to go to a Sephora or Ulta store and try it. Obviously lots of people love Pink Sugar and maybe you will as well. LOVE this perfume. I am someone that doesn't like a strong scent. This smells a bit like the old "Love Soft" with a bit more of a floral/vanilla undertone. If you like bakery smells, this is for you. I've actually had it on and people have said, do you smell cupcakes? (men LOVE this!) Fresh, clean and for old or young. My mom, who's in her 70's loves the shower gel. Cheers you up! I gave this perfume to my daughter for Christmas. She is eleven years old and it was perfect. Very age appropriate and she said it makes her feel good everytime she wears it. Great! Smells delicious. Big bottle, nothing more to say except it is fantastic and i was very happy! I ordered this perfume on Amazon based purely on recommendations and reviews, which is something I never do! I am so glad that I ordered it because it is now my favorite new perfume! I spray it on my skin in the morning and when I go to bed I can still smell it. Definitely order it here because it is MUCH cheaper than anywhere else I looked. Average Rating:![]() |

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker Eau de Parfum SprayReviewsI received this perfume as a gift and was very excited to try it since Oprah had given it her seal of approval. Unfortunately, it smells like a depillatory when initially applied. After an hour or so, it settles and becomes pleasant. I layer it with the body lotion which is quite good as a moisturizer but, just like the perfume, it has a strong cloying, harsh, chemical smell when I first put it on. Also, I don't know if this matters or not, but I have never gotten a compliment on it. This company is not reputable although the product is good., JUST BEWARE!!! The company that you will be purchasing it from on here is not reputable and if you have an issue with the product, they require you to spend a copay to see a physician to get a note stating that you had a "skin condition" and then go their website to fill out a return form, THEN they may (or may not) approve it.... WAYYYYYY ridiculous!!!! Or, they ONLY refund for unused and unopened! This fragrance is so delightful. It is light and flowery without being over powering. When people come into my work place they ask what smells so good and of course it's my Lovely Parfum. If you like a light fragrance but one that last all day without being too strong this is the parfum for you! I didn't care for this perfume at all. I think it stinks and is way too strong I love Lovely. It's light and slightly sweet smelling to me. I always get complimentswhen I use it. Average Rating:![]() |

Pro Drupal Development, Second EditionReviewsI am still new to Drupal, and have not yet finished reading this book, but I am very grateful to have it. The book walks through the process of modifying or adding features to Drupal sites in a somewhat dense but highly effective manner. It covers a great deal of gound, starting with an overview of how Drupal works, to creating modules, dealing with hooks, the menu system, working with databases, users, nodes, theming, blocks, forms, filters, taxonomy, caching, jQuery, localization, security, optimization, and best practices in development (and I've skipped a few chapters!) It also includes a database table reference, and a useful list of resources. Some reviewers have criticized this book for not following standards and for various errors. I'm not qualified to comment on that, other than to say I can't imagine doing many of the things this book goes over without having it at hand as a reference. Drupal's online documentation is helpful in a pinch, but I don't find it very usable as a learning tool. If you're not comfortable with PHP, you should study that before attempting this book. If you're a designer or a content editor, you'll probably find this book way over your head. If you're brand new to Drupal, I would suggest O'Reilly's "Using Drupal" rather than this book as a starting point. But if you are comfortable reading and writing code and want to do more with Drupal than it does out of the starting gate, this book is a must-have. I have been programming for years, but new to PHP and Drupal. This book was (and is) exactly what I need to get things done. It's pretty complete -- I think the entire Drupal 6 API is discussed. It's well organized. It has a good index (!!), and it has non-trivial examples that work you through to the end of the topic. I am struggling in some cases -- Drupal's greatest strength is the number and scope of its contributed modules, and this book does not address them. However, there are some modules that are effectively part of core Drupal (or ones that will be soon). Most modules are poorly documented and have a few bugs or limitations -- as a new Drupal developer, I have found it hard to know how to isolate problems -- in modules, and in my own code. One module, briefly discussed (Devel) is a huge help, but very little is written about it. While I understand that a book like this cannot cover everything, a section on practical debugging, testing, problem isolation and so on would have done wonders for me. Still the book is a must have for me. This is honestly one of the best books in the field of technology I have ever read. It is chock full of information without rambling on and on. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has administered Drupal sites in the past and wishes to bring their Drupal knowledge to the next level by learning how to use the most advanced features of Drupal and related systems (Apache, PHP, MySQL, etc). I was hoping to find helpful information on how to roll out a Drupal website, not build a new Drupal module. Probably my mistake. I couldn't get very far into this book for two reasons alone. 1. The spelling errors and fragmented sentences are ridiculous. 2. Code examples don't work. What????? I'm glad I didn't spend cash on this book and just got the online version through safari. Learn C on the Mac (Learn Series)ReviewsSome of the code examples given do not run properly any longer. For instance if you try to use the \b command for printf they speak about in chapter 5 it simply doesn't work. It adds the numbers to the end of your value instead of backing up and replacing them like it says it should. (For example 50\b5 should give a value of 55, not 505 which is the output in the current version of xCode.) It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence about finishing the book when some of the basic the code doesn't compile properly. I bought this book used so it wasn't a huge loss, but I was less then impressed. When it comes to technical books, Apress makes some of my favorite and most useful books. Being in IT, and being a proud Mac owner and Snow Leopard user for about a year now, I figured I should start learning more about developing for Mac's, so I purchased Learn C on the Mac. When purchasing this book, we must keep in mind that just learning C will not allow us to create the coolest looking applications and software for OS X. C is what C++, the more popular Java, and what Objective-C are based on. The goal of this book is teach us the basic fundamentals that prepare us for C++, Objective-C or Java, and to allow us to feel comfortable with Xcode (Xcode is where we code, it's like Visual Studio or Eclipse for the Mac). For the beginner, this book is perfect, as the author clearly states that to his surprise, he's found children and soccer moms are interested in learning how to code - so it should be really easy to follow. For those that already know VB and C#, the book will be even easier to follow along, and you'll learn the basics of developing for the Mac or iPhone. Overall, this book is an intro to programing (regardless of which language or platform you plan to use) and a guide to using Xcode for programing. Anything exercises the book has us do, are all ran and debugged in Xcode. Once you finish this book, you'll be able to understand Learn Objective-C on the Mac, also by Apress. Objective-C, based on C (this book), is what Mac's actually run on, and allows for scrolling, menu's, etc... The last step, after understanding Objective C, is to decide what you want to do. Do you want to develop for the Mac or the iPhone? If you choose Mac, Learn Cocoa on the Mac by Apress would be the right book, if you choose to learn mobile Cocoa instead, for the iPhone, you would want Beginning iPhone Development: Exploring the iPhone SDK by Apress too. Cocoa would be what we really need to learn to be able and create iPhone applications and software as we know it today. Anyways, I don't think it'll matter if your a beginner, or already a developer (non C or Java), you will likely learn from this book. Sure, Java developers might be able to review too, and learn how to use Xcode, but if your already developing in C, Java you might be ready to move on to Objective-C. Have fun learning, and remember, this is not a PC only world anymore!! As someone who has never programmed on the Mac or in C, I found this book to be a godsend. The author starts with the preliminary steps for getting started with Xcode on the Mac, and then takes you across to the language itself. I liked the engaging and simple style in which it is written. To a newcomer to C, even a simple "hello World" program in C appears terrifying as it is always surrounded by a host of arcane statements that make no sense. The author tackles this situation in a pedagogically sound manner. The author gets the reader to focus on the central concepts that matter in the program code rather than all the distracting details. The book builds up gradually and gives you a solid platform for going on to Objective C. Highly recommended. Thanks form a grateful programmer ! Very Good Book simple and easy also good for who konws C and need some abount Mac world and Xcode. Simple English good for strangers We at the iPhone Boot Camp [...]have three day intensive workshops in iPhone development in eleven cities. We selected this book as recommended reading material to prepare the students for the workshop. We've read all the book on the subject and feel this book is one of the best ones out there in the marketplace. The authors explain how to develop for the iPhone in very clear terms and it's helped our students learn some challenging programming concepts. With the right preparation for the workshops such as reading this book and the workshops themselves with hand on training, exercises and lots of Q & A with the instructors, all longtime Mac developers our students have been able to develop their own apps for the iPhone store Average Rating:![]() |

Beginning iPhone Development: Exploring the iPhone SDKReviewsThis book is a great tool for someone starting out with iPhone programming. I've found it to be very helpful but it doesn't have everything I'd like to know in it. It's pretty easy to follow along with the example applications. This book has wonderful example code, that is fairly simple to type in. The language is easy to read and things build from simple to more complex. It is not a book about Objective-C however. Another book must be purchased for that. By the end of this book, though, every reader should have a very good knowledge of the iPhone SDK and how to exploit it to create your own programs. Code in the book works great, no issues of code not making sense. There have been a few changes to the Xcode interface that are different from the book, but that should be expected. All-in-all this is a great book for starters. I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series about iPhone programming. I've looked through many beginning iPhone development books and I can say this is the best one out there. I would prefer a big, thick, Deitel-style textbook though. I don't think there's anything like that out there for iPhone development. You should know some basic programming in C, C++, Java, or Objective-C(preferred), before you tackle this book. Otherwise, you will likely be confused. I recommend you learn the basics of Objective-C first too, though people with C, C++, Java experience may be able to understand the code. Apress has a decent book on Objective-C. This book covers every topic you need to learn to start developing iPhone applications and explains the basics of Xcode and the iPhone SDK. It's a by example type book. You learn by writing actual applications. There are plenty of screenshots that help you stay on the same page. Now, the bad things about this book. First, there is a quite a lot of errata. This isn't uncommon in programming books, but this book has more errata than usual. I think they cut corners putting out a new edition and forgot to update some of the code and check for other errors. Again, this is typical of programming books. They really should have had a programmer actually go through the book and type in the code, etc. before sending this off to print. I guess they couldn't afford the time and money to do this? Fortunately, there is an online forum with other readers of this book posting corrections. Secondly, the explanation of concepts and code is somewhat brief. Sometimes, you just have to look at the code and try to figure out what it does or just accept that it works. In conclusion, this book is easy to read, well organized and will teach you how to get started developing iPhone applications by example. The typeface and design is easy on the eyes. You will likely have to look back at the code of the programs in this book when you start writing your own programs. You should read some other iPhone development resources also to supplement your knowledge, because the explanation of concepts and code is brief at times. The errata is somewhat annoying, but there's a companion forum with corrections. I don't know of a better iPhone development book out there, which means that there is no "excellent" iPhone dev book, yet. Start with this book as a primer, then try writing some programs that you would like to make. Look back at the programs you wrote while going through this book, unless you have a photographic memory. Check out other resources too and ask questions in online forums when you run into problems. I have found that the best way to learn a programming language/SDK/etc. is to write programs you really want to write. You will have extra motivation to find the answers to get your program completed and learn the language at the same time. After going through this book, check out The iPhone Developer's Cookbook: Building Applications with the iPhone 3.0 SDK (2nd Edition) for more, in depth coverage of development for the iPhone. It's more of a reference book than a how to book. I've 30+ years of software design/development experience. I read at least 10-12 technical books a year. In those that deal directly with software development I've nearly always found errors within the examples. With that said, I have been amazed at the accuracy within this book. Hats off to the authors for a job well-done! Now, I will admit that some of the screen shots in the book are a bit different than what I see in my Xcode environment. I keep my Mac development environments up to date so I expected to encounter some differences but thus far none have been difficult to overcome. With respect to some of the other reviewer's comments regarding this not being a "beginners" book... I have prior experience (5 years assembly language and 15 years C/C++) with languages that are close to the Objective-C syntax. (The last 10 years have been all Java and quite frankly I have enjoyed the return to a language that allows pointer manipulation.) But, I did read/study Stephen Kochan's book "Programming in Objective-C 2.0". It provides a solid foundation in the syntax and memory management and should prepare you for the iPhone development presented in this book. Working through the examples in Kochan's book reawakened the "old" C skill's quicker than I thought possible and has made the iPhone development easier to comprehend. It's been "fun" to step out of the Java world for a new adventure. If you don't have the C language back ground then I would suggest getting Kochan's book. It's a great introduction and coupled with the information/resources available on Apple's web-site you should soon feel comfortable with the language and the examples/problems presented in "Beginning iPhone 3 Development" should start to "click". If your completely new to iphone developing I suggest you skip this book. With every SDK update these books become instantly outdated if you depend on them to give you word for word, line by line help. As soon a you run across a section of the book that is no longer current like the last line on page 133 your screwed. I'm new to all this so i'm pretty ignorant on Objective C and everything else that has to do with programming. Out of the three tutorials in this book I went thru so far I only got one to work. I copied word for word the code as they show in the book..only to get a half a dozen errors, which immediately stopped me from progressing in that chapter. I would love to see someone come out with a book that actually has a technical support number that you can call (at a reasonable cost..say $100.00 for unlimited support for 6 Months) This is the only way I could have someone help me when I hit a road block. As soon as Apple changes one page in their SDK software and your following along in this book, its like coming to a canyon and the bridge is gone. With no help in site. I'm going to be looking for an online class to take or a community college course to take some where...I need hand holding. Average Rating:![]() |

The First Days of School: How to Be an Effective TeacherReviewsI read the previous addition but this book was given to me by my principal. It totally changed (and improved) my classroom management. Where I was struggling to get student attention and focus them and "threatening" them, now I have a plan...As a music teacher, I've been through some classes from august to mid-year (as I write this review) and not had to discipline ONCE!!! I am a 14 yr teacher and have taught from 6th grade through doctoral students (not in education). He gives many "to do's" without considering the cost to the teacher. He tells teachers that if you don't have students' names on desks with something to do when students enter the room, you have lost the students for the YEAR and that you are an ineffective teacher. Never mind that a teacher may have 200 students and doesn't get their class list until the morning of the first day of school. He frequently implies that if one doesn't teach with his methods, one is an ineffective teacher. Fred Jones needs to be taken with a grain of salt. With Harry Wong you will need a block of salt. Very useful and informative! Exactly what I learned in other classes but with more incite. This book contains tons of practical information that education classes seem to pass right by. I actually like that it's a bit "homemade" looking. And I appreciate the "motivational speaker" aspect of it. I think a great teacher should be in part a motivational speaker too. I used the "Give me Five" technique for my class my very first year five years ago and not only does it work, but other teachers have asked to use my signage for it in their class. All of a sudden I'm a school leader on creating good classroom behavior! I think this book is a very good investment. This book is very important for the first day of school. If you want to become a teacher of any sort, buy this book! Some of Wong's ideas are a little strong for my taste, however so many of these ideas are so amazing, they over look the less appealing ones. Wonderful book, easy to read, FULL of important information. Average Rating:![]() |

Paula Deen's The Deen Family CookbookReviewsI love Paula! This book is good by all means, but I was looking for recipes with less indrigients and more items that I might have instock in the kitchen. Received the cookbook very quickly and is such an incredible "Food Bible"....Use it often. Was a Christmas Present to myself, I bought this cookbook as a Christmas gift for my mother. She loves Paula Deen and her cooking. It has some awesome recipes from Paula as well as members of her family. If you are a fan of Paula Deen and of down home cooking, then this cookbook is for you. If I had looked at the recipes in this book, i would not have purchased it. For instance, her fudge calls for bread crumbs... what is up with that? Most of these recipes are not "everyday" type of recipes. I guess if you are really into different things, then this cookbook might be for you. I like the "family" style about the book, however. I purchased 15 of The Deen Family Cookbooks as Christmas gifts this year. Everyone in my office loved them (and I got them at a great price through Amazon.com). I actually need to purchase some additional copies. Average Rating:![]() |

Daily Word Ladders: Grades 1-2: 150+ Reproducible Word Study Lessons That Help Kids Boost Reading, Vocabulary, Spelling and Phonics Skills!ReviewsThis is a must have for any teacher to keep in their bag of tricks. Whether you have students work independantly or as a whole class these quick vocabulary exercises breath energy back into students between teaching lessons. I actually tear out the pages and slip them into sheet protectors. Then I let the students work independantly with expo markers. They always want to know when we can do more! I have both the 1-2 and 2-3 versions of this workbook. I teach 2nd grade. I like this idea; however, the 1-2 is too easy for my students and the 2-3 is too difficult. There are some fairly obscure words on the 2-3 version... I bought this book for my girls, ages 5, 7 and 8. Of course it's a little too difficult for my 5 yr old, so she gets help from her sisters, and it's sometimes too easy for the older two, but we plan to get the next step up when we are done with this one. This is how we use it: I'll say the first word at the bottom of the ladder and ask one of them to write the word for me on a dry erase board. Then I'll give the clue for the next word and have another one of my daughters change the word on the dry erase board to make the new word, and so on and so on. They beg me to play word ladders. It's a ton of fun for all of us, and also a great learning activity. I teach resource special ed, and it is always a challenge to find something that the students LIKE to do. This is it! Everyday we "do a ladder". I give help and prompting based on the students need. It is easy to tailor this for each student. It improves their vocabulary and teaches them how to think. I have used this series with students from 2nd grade through 5th grade. I LOVE this series. My 1st graders LOVE these! They are great for challenging high kids and to do together as a class! You can add letter tiles also and make it a center if you have them. Average Rating:![]() |

Art of Mass Effect, TheReviewsThe Art of Mass Effect is a solid look at the concepts behind the first game in the series. It gives you a pretty good sense of where the artists were coming from when designing the look and feel of the game. What I found to be a nice touch was a lot of the designs are grounded in reality, things we are familiar with. Much of the designs are based on animals, particularly mash-ups of different animals. Take the varren for example. They are clearly based on some kind of wild dog for the body but have very fish-like features in the face, like the jaw and the globe-like eyes. I'm only giving the book four stars out of five because if you really want to get a better feel for the art, the bonus disc in the Platinum Hits variation of the game offers a much better look. It has all the artwork from the book (plus a little more but not 100% on that) organized into different galleries, with full voice commentary. Gives a much better insight to what the artists were striving for than the project director's little notes that dot each page of the book. I love mass effect but this art book could be better. My biggest problem with it is that most of the images (specially the environments) are too small. Despite that fact it still is an awesome art book. This book is great for any fan of the game and also anyone who likes art. The pictures are beautiful and it gives great insight into the making of one of the best action rpgs. Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3UZWRYKG6T43U This book was published in 2007 and so I have the chance to read through a few reviews on Amazon before I bought mine. After reading the book, I'm surprised that their reaction were pretty mixed. There are five chapters in the book. The first two chapters are on the design of characters and creatures in the game. Chapter Three: Transport is on the different vehicle and airship designs. Chapter Four looks at concept art of objects like furniture, equipments and weapons. The last chapter contains matte paintings for the environment. This book packs a lot of full colour illustrations with a few pencil sketches. All the art shown are very polished, as in they can be shown to any director who would then give the go ahead order. There are short captions on each page. The very few game screenshots included are used mainly to compared the final rendering with the concept art. For example, there will be 3D model renderings compared to an actual set which is rendered with texture. There are plenty of matte paintings to look through, with several 3D models to go with some. What's missing are the individual credits for each illustration. So we'll not know who did what. However, there's a list of artists who worked on the project are at the back of the book on a page. They are: * Derek Watts * Matthew Rhodes * Sung Kim * Adrien Cho * Fran Gaulin * Mike Spalding * Mike Trottier * Michael Jeffrey * Sasha Beliaev * Mike Higgins This is a nice book for concept designers, sci-fi and game artists. (More pictures are available on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.) Firstly, I'm already a huge fan of the Mass Effect univerise and soon-to-be franchise. What impressed me most about playing through the game was the sheer amount of detail they gave the univerise, with plenty of history and alien races to cover. But as games being as they are, they're limited in what they can show you. This book really helps to flesh out the characters and alien races inside the game, as well as the many worlds and crafts you discover along the way. The book has plenty of story-breaking spoilers however, so I highly recommend you finish the game before buying this book. Hell, finish the game 2 or 3 times, it's truly excellent! Highly recommend this to sit comfortably next to other artistic books on your coffee table. Average Rating:![]() |

PureReviewsThere are few racers out there nowadays which capture that arcade feel while still feeling current. I am sick and tired of the Gran Turismo's and Forza's where you need to plan every nuance of how to build your car, and then start racing and realize its going to take you days to simply figure out how to drive straight. This game does none of that. It does have the cool feature of letting you build your own ATV, but its not overly complex, and once you get into the racing aspect this game is FUN. A racer doesn't have to have all those things, sometimes you just want to jump right in and race, and this game does just that. It also has some of the better graphics I have seen in a racing game. Plus it's cheap. 20.00 is a steal if you want to fill out your collection. This was a game I've always liked, but when the price was almost triple of what it is now, it just wasn't feasible. My advice is to download the demo for free on the Playstation Network. The demo gives you a simple tutorial, and allows you to play 2 courses. The demo is pretty much what the game is without the added courses and upgrades. In the game, once you complete a race, you unlock a new part and are asked if you want to go to the garage to upgrade your vehicle. Another feature that isn't featured in the demo is when you jump, your ATV can jump through bonuses. This is offered at a couple of races in each class (There are 50 races in all, 4 classes). The demo was definitely one I kept replaying. For the price, it's worth a BUY to play the other courses. Awards: Game Critics Award Winner 2008 Got this game for Christmas and this game is sick! The graphics are outstanding and I love the option the game gives you to completely customize multiple ATV's. If you're into racing games you should own this one. This is a good game. It is worth the money if you get a good deal on it. I have trouble doing different tricks, i always do the same ones over and over again, but that is probably because I am not good at it ha. When playing this game I could really appreciate the fact that it is well made and that the graphics are outstanding. The gameplay however was not up my alley. I thought it was going to be more of a racer that had jumps included, but a good part of the game consists in stringing together jumps and tricks in order to increase your boost. Those that are looking for this kind of experience won't be disappointed, but if you are like me, and you are looking for an experience more along the lines of games like Motorstorm, you may not find this one to be the best option. WWE EncyclopediaReviewsBeautiful slick stock pages, lot's of color photos. It has everything! It's a beautiful collector's item. Very excited to give this as a gift. We bought this for our 10 year old grandson who is a #1 wrestling fan. He is thrilled with it. Every time they come over he has something to share with us that he has discovered in the book. I'm a big fan of the WWE, but the lack of research and fact checking in their books is laughable. The book is billed as a complete history of the WWE and yet a large number of wrestlers were not included such as Hugh Morris and Chris Kanyon just to name two. The biggest omission I noticed was failing to include one of their own Hall of Famer's Pete Rose, yet they chose to include child killer Chris Benoit. Short of that, its a fun easy read. It's not quite worth the cover price but if you can find it used pick it up. I purchased this item for my son (9) as a gift and Im proud to say he has spent more time looking through the book than playing with his new video game I have been a Pro Wrestling fan since the early 1970s. I grew up in Memphis Tennessee and My favorite wrestler was and still till this day is Jerry "The King" Lawler. I moved around a lot as a kid, so I lost touch with Memphis Wrestling. I first came across the WWWF with people like Captain Lou and his tag teams, The Grand Wizard and his men, from that day I was hooked. The encyclopedia covers ALL the history of wrestling as a whole. I read the first 150 pages in two days of getting it. This book is a MUST HAVE for the serious wrestling fan!!!!!! Average Rating:![]() |

NIV Audio Bible Dramatized CDReviewsEach person saying his/her voice personage makes it easier to put into perspective as opposed to one voice for all verses. I was looking for a way to spend more time reading my Bible and now since I have it on CD's - when I am driving in the car... I can listen to God's word as a drive to work or school or on trips. This was a wonderful way of figuring out how to read the Bible and not just doing it at church. The NIV Audio Bible Dramatized CD is worth the cost. Listening to this Bible is easy and perfect for people who spend a lot of time in a car. The changes in voice help the reading not to become mundane. Very happy with audio Cd's. The reading is swift yet clear, good background music composition, and great voice changes for each person presented in the Bible. A nice read along for my children and helps them to be more engaged. Would definietely recommend to others and especially those who have a long commute to work. Good value for the money. The general narration is awesome. I love listening to the cd's. The voices of the characters are overdramatized, unprofessional, and corny, which is somewhat distracting. However, overall, I would highly recommend this product. Average Rating:![]() |

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Inside OutReviewsShow me the pages wich describe how to replace a primary domain controller. Or how to set up RIS the right way with all kind of differend hardware. The info the book gives is not inside out information thats why the 1 star. If you want to get an overview of server 2003 this book could work for you. But dont expect to learn daily stuff work. I found that this book contained information and detail that exceeded what would turn up in a typical web search. The book devotes around 200 pages just to AD. I have several books and this one actually gets used! As a comprehensive Windows Server 2003 reference, there is no comparison as far as I'm concerned. Quality shines throughout the book and it is obviously the product of extensive research and lots of realworld experience. Stanek takes some pretty bland subject matter like DNS, Active Directory, and optimization and makes it understandable. This book made many things clearer for me, and I actually enjoyed reading it. Explanations are so much detailed that you can actually configure your system step by step by following the book. Also discusses the underlying technology in a detailed conceptual way, that gave me the overall understanding and insight of what really is going on. If you are trying to learn or working with Windows networks, this book is a must. The book never makes you confused, and virtually all aspects of networking are covered. You really cannot go wrong with this book it is well worth the money. I recently bought a copy of this book. I saw it on the desk of a colleague at work and decided to have a look. It is really great and I also like the writing style of Stanek. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it earlier. This would have saved me considerably time and effort in researching several administration problems that may crop up from time to time. I needed a comprehensive book on Windows Server 2003 and this is the one I picked after reading through all the others at the bookstore. Stanek has the most comprehensive coverage I've ever seen in a single book on security, filesystems/availability, Active Directory, and most anything else you'd want to know about Windows Server. I've been an admin for 12 years and there's things I learned that I'll admit I didn't even know Windows Server could do. As an example, this book has TWO performance monitoring and tuning chapters. These chapters cover remote monitoring, command-line monitoring, performance logging, etc. Chapter 19 covers both MBR and GPT disks as well as SANs, RAIDs. Chapter 20 covers everything you'd ever want to know about NTFS including hard links, data streams, journaling, reparse points, sparse files, disk quotas, etc. Chapter 22 is covers shadow copy from its internals to everything about how it works. Chapter 24 covers everything you need to know about IP addressing and subnetting. There are two chapters on DNS with everything from setup to troubleshooting. Some of the best coverage is on Active Directory. There's eight chapters and the 300 pages covers more than some other entire books on the subject. Get this book jump straight to Chapter 12 and keep reading until you get to Chapter 41. You'll learn a lifetime's worth of knowledge and get more expert advice than in any other book. Thank you Mr. Stanek for such an excellent book. Average Rating:![]() |

Type To Learn 3ReviewsMy 8 year old son loves this game and he is already improving on his keyboarding skills. He had been playing it at Occupational Therapy and liked it so much that he could hardly wait to play it at home. Worst game ever. It doesn't help you learn to type. It mostly just Irks children. If this rateing chart would let me go to 0 I would. I recommend not to buy it. If you do it's a immense mistake. It uses horrible typing methods. This review took me 15 min. to type all because of type to learn. Don't make the same mistake I did. sincerely, Michael My 8 year old loves it. It is a great way to play and learn how to type I bought this thinking it will work on Windows Vista and/or Windows 7, no luck. Good thing the seller agreed the return and gave me a link to a Vista compatible product. Bought this one instead: Type To Learn 3 V1.2s- VISTA & MAC OSX/INTEL COMPATIBLE I purchased this product which did not specify that it was not Mac os compatible. I guess if you purchase software all the time, you might have figured it out but for an amateur, it is very difficult and you only find out that it is not compatible until after you have opened the package and at that point you can not return it and get a refund or an exchange since this was purchased through a 3rd party. After calling an Apple store, I was able to get someone to help me purchase the right product for a Mac. I have absolutely no use for the first purchase. A complete waist of time and money. Ghosts (VCD)ReviewsThe format is not as good as a dvd, but if you're interested in this video-clip don't dude and buy it. Amazing choreography, makeup, special effects, wardrobe, characterization... Enjoy it! I tried this dvd in our computer when I got it and it worked fine and then I tried to play it in our dvd player and it won't play, when buying a dvd make sure it is from a store and new I bought it used, it is my mistake and one that I will not make again. I was extremely impressed with this short film by MJ .He is so adorable in this video.Truly displayed his multi facet talent in acting ,singing and dancing. This is a Must have for all MJ fans. MJ achieved his goal in that the film was scary, yet funny and entertaining and at the same time Sad ( for it depicts his real live as people think he is a freak) Certain parts of this VCD was a little unclear -not as sharp as a DVD .Its still worth the AUD$40 that I paid for it.Highly recommended from this vendor It only took abt 10 days from time of order to getting it in my hands.Disc was produced by Sony Asia. I was disappointed that there was no inclusion of the making of ghost in this VCD. I noticed in You Tube there were some postings for the making of the video which was really an eye opener,as it showed what a Genius MJ was in creating and perfecting this short film. MJ would have been a great producer and director of short films if he had lived. We have lost a wonderful man and an incredibly talented human being Oh, word can't express how I love this dvd, Michael is so great, he is a gift from God......... As usual, MJ is full of surprises. This video is a great statement about how we shouldn't "judge a book by its cover". Of course, there's great dancing and lots of great visual effects. The acting isn't bad, either. A must-have for all MJ fans. Average Rating:![]() |

Moonwalker [VHS]ReviewsI've loved Michael ever since I was seven. This movie was the first glimpse that I seen with him and he was great. It opens up with him performing "Man In the Mirror", then it shows snippets of him singing as a child. It then shows Michael's "Leave Me Alone" video. It includes a mini movie of Michael and three children; Michael and the little girl who plays Katie stumble upon a druglord, while looking for their dog Skipper, who runs into the woods after they all are shown playing in the park. The druglord (Frankie Lideo) goes on a manhunt to kill Michael, along with his army of "robotic machines". Michael gets away after running into a dead-in by wishing upon a "lucky star" and being transformed into this extremely fast, futuristic car. He goes to Club 30's and his video "Smooth Criminal" is shown. After it ends, Michael is told by the two boys that Katie was taken by Frankie, so Michael goes to rescue her. At first it seems as if Michael will be defeated, but of course, good trumps evil, so in the end Michael overcomes Frankie's army by turning into a "robotic machine" himself (much cooler version than Frankie's army) and destroys them. Michael and Frankie have a final showdown and Frankie loses (no surprise there). Michael leaves and the children are sad to see him go. Katie takes it the hardest and wishes upon a star for him to come back and Michael suddenly walks through the fogged streets. After, the reunion they walk to Club 30's where Michael closes with his version of "Come Together" (I love it). As a child, I saw him as somewhat magical, because that's exactly how he potrayed himself. He was an excellent singer and entertainer. Though, he's no longer with us he will live on through his music and his children. I love you Michael! R.I.P. I was so excited when I found my movie at the price it was and couldn't wait for it to arrive. I was very impressed when it arrive in my mailbox 3 days ahead of schedule. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my order!!!! I bought this NTSC/Region 1 DVD from the secondary seller. It arrived on the earliest of the promised delivery dates, and it ran perfectly in my DVD player. So from a buyer's standpoint, I give it an A! As for the content, I can't offer much more than other fans have said. In fact, I can't say enough! Michael looks so joyful and earnest in these pieces; you just want to eat him up! I especially liked his pseudo-live (well, I guess it's really live, but given for a preset audience) rendition of the Lennon-McCartney classic "Come Together." His treatment is suitably funky! For comparison, go on the Web and find one of the Beatles' live performances. John and Sir Paul would have no complaints, I think. Anyway, this Moonwalker DVD is a great buy, and I recommend it highly. :-} Enjoy!!! THIS IS A HARD MOVIE TO FIND. I PAID 17$, NO S&H, AND IT CAME THE NEXT DAY AFTER I OREDERED IT! THE INFO SAID IT WAS A ASIAN VERSION AND IT WAS IN ENGLISH! BUY IT! YOU WON'T BE SORRY. I have had the original VHS since I was BABY practically, and continue to watch it every often, even way BEFORE Michael passed. When I thought they would take advantage after he passed by releasing "past" movies and such, I assumed this would of been first, and too my surprise it wasn't even mentioned. I would like to believe this dvd is a "bootleg" but it seems to genuine and it has the appropriate details from the "Warner Bro's Studios", LOGOS, FBI Warning, the works, so its obviously legit. What I don't get is why the record company would release a "Michael Jackson" dvd in another country rather than his own, this DVD doesn't exist here in the U.S., unless its a bootleg. I am not complaining at all about the situation, I bought the last dvd "new" from this page for only $18.96, thats all...they will probably release and sell it for more in the U.S. soon, I hope, with extra footage of some sort. Even though there is a few Korean writings on the DVD BOX, its ALL in ENGLISH, and works PERFECTLY FINE with my REGION 1 DVD player. I noticed some buyers from another page "accidently" bought REGION 2, which doesn't work for the U.S. and U.K. So be very careful which "REGION" you buy, THIS VERSION was perfect and played crystal clear for me on my MAC and Home DVD player. GOOD LUCK TO ALL SEARCHING FOR THIS GREAT RARE ITEM!!! Average Rating:![]() |

Rugrats - Passover [VHS]ReviewsIf you have young children and you want them to learn a little about passover then try this. LambChop also has a cute one. Both are worth getting Okay, so maybe it's not the MOST accurate representation of a biblical story that I've ever seen, but it's definitely my favorite! Children of all ages will delight in the creativity that Angelica, Tommy, Chuckie, and the gang bring to this video. If you're offended by the historical inaccuracies, take a moment to consider the audience toward whom the video is directly, and appreciate that Nickelodeon is attempting to educate our children. You can always go back and make minor changes in your kid's understanding of the story later on. Besides, they'll probably be thankful that the story was presented in such a fun way. Best Rugrats episode EVER. This episode exceeds all other Rugrats episodes. OK so it is not 100 per cent true to life but it is a CARTOON. I mean how often do Hollywood get it spot on not very often if I remember well. The babies and the adults all get locked in the attic one by one and all hear and take part in the exodus. Angelica as Pharaoh, well I will never look at the Sphinx in the same light again, and the mobile phone with the cartouch's on was just so HER. No the story is not the one we read in the Good Book but it is fun and there are some good one liners (from the adorable Miss P)and that is how we should view it. Watch it and SMILE. Personally, I bought this video to show to my second grade students, but now I look foward to sharing it with my children. The Rugrats depict the story of Passover with some minor changes so as to not frighten young children. It's interesting and historically accurate (except for those few age appropriate changes). My students had a ball watching it and were able to recall much of the information about Passover afterwards. It's a movie for the whole family. I find this Rugrats episode for children and maybe even adults too. I mean the Jewish celebrate it but it is in the Christian side of the Bible so anyone can learn from it. I enjoyed the way they showed the holiday on a baby's point of view to make it show how people look at stories like Passover. I definitely recommend this video. Average Rating:![]() |

Trapped in the attic on Seder night with Tommy, Chuckie and 3-year-old Angelica, Grandpa Boris spins the Passover tale into a riveting adventure. As the story unfolds, Angelica's imagination casts the babies as Hebrews and herself as the first female Pharaoh. |

History
Before Woody became Andy's favorite toy, a puppet version of him starred in a TV show called "Woody's Round Up" which also includes the characters Bullseye the horse, Jessie the cowgirl, and Stinky Pete the prospector. It was canceled after the launch of the Soviet satelite Sputnik 1 in 1957, as space toys became the new craze.
Character
Woody is an old-fashioned pull-string cowboy doll. He is Andy's favorite toy since kindergarten, with a special spot on the bed, and is the leader of the toys in Andy's room. Woody is also very sarcastic. In Toy Story 2 it is revealed that he is the main character of a 1950s popular TV Show, "Woody's Roundup". When Al Is bargaining with Andy's mom in an attempt to take Woody, Andy's mom declines Al's bargain saying it to be "an old family toy", Stinky Pete also directly refers to him as a hand-me-down toy later in the movie. He is voiced by Tom Hanks in the two films and by his brother Jim Hanks on other occasions.
Although he has been deemed the boss in Andy's room, Woody is somewhat of a flawed character as seen in both movies, as he has bouts of jealousy, anger, frustration, and feelings of inadequacy regarding his role many times. He was described by Buzz Lightyear as a "sad, strange little man" and did little to dispel this accusation.
Inspirations
Woody is inspired by executive producer John Lasseter's favorite childhood toy, a pull-string Casper the Friendly Ghost talking doll. PIXAR Animator/Director Bud Luckey designed the character and came up with the idea of making him a cowboy.
