Despite the picture looking nice and vibrant, when they arrive they are all faded. The printing uses light colors. i was expecting sharp cartoon colors, but they look like the pillowcases I had for about 5 years and washed a hundred times. They may last. I expect the quality is fine, but I don't use them much, because they look old, even though they are new.

I bought this for my 4 yo girls thinking that it was just an inexpensive clubhouse CD (without much expectations); however, when I received it I quickly found out it was so much more. It is a birthday party (or anyday party) CD, with pin the tail on the donkey games and cutouts as well as birthday invitations. My litte girl now plays birthday party for her 2 yo and 5 month old little sisters. It has quickly become her favorite CD. If you have a little girl (or boy) that is around 3 to 7 years old, then this is a sure bet...plus at a great price.

My baby is a big fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! This CD is the Best! He loves listening to it. It has the same songs he hears on the show.

For some reason I was in the idea that it was songs from the show and it is definitely not. It's a mickey mouse version of traditional kids songs...plus the show's theme song. My kids get irritated with this immediately and it's rarely used. I see Disney channel is now having "music videos" with the various cartoon characters so the songs are becoming more familiar but this cd is not for us. If they put out another with more of the in show songs that'd be great but for now? This will be recycled to someone else.

We bought this for our Granddaughter, and she absolutely loved it. It's a well made toy with lots of little surprises. Takes some abuse, too. It was easy to put together and it is very colorful for little eyes.

This is just not what we thought it was going to be. Most the songs, we have never heard of on Clubhouse. Only the first and last song are the only songs that we listen to.

Great CD! I Love the music. Order came on time and in great condition, it was new! I would order again from this seller.

Bought this on spec and was very pleasantly surprised. Stand out tracks are Johnny Lang, Michael McDonald, Patty Griffin and Joss Stone.

A terrific mix of artists not always associated with gospel music. Worth waiting for it's re-issue!

I guess with the artists listed, I expected much more than what is on this cd. It is pretty much just "ok". Really enjoyed just a couple of the songs, the rest were not anything special.

This is not what I thought it was going to be, like the CD over all though.

That this album is great. I have a copy of this Disney album, I kinda got this album for a Christmas present before. I love this album. One of my favorite songs in this album are the Wonderful Things About Tiggers, because I love Tigger, he's a cat with good sense of humor. I also like Pink Elephants On Parade, that the pink elephants are hilarious and they're from Dumbo, after all I love the disney film Dumbo. This album is great, I kinda like all the songs in this album except for Part of Your World and Best of Friends.

My students love singing to the music during the last couple of weeks of school. They didn't realize they knew some many of the disney songs.

What can you say about Disney? We listen to all 3 volumes (I know there are tons of Disney compilations out there, but these are the orignals) in the car and my daughter changes her favorite every week. The ones from the rides are especially fun, and some of them are quite old, but still great!

My family loves listening to this CD. We have numerous Disney music CD's and we listen to them constantly in the car. I would defintely recommend this to any Disney fan.

The songs on this cd are a bit more "adult" than on the others. I really enjoy, but the kids don't really ask for this one.

This video is wonderful. It reminds me of my childhood. It is the real Mickey Mouse cartoons that we watched as kids. I was very satisfied with this product. My daughter(5) also loves this video.

This is a great collection of some of the best Mickey Mouse color cartoons. It starts off with "The Band Concert" which incidentally was Mickey's first cartoon in color as related by Minnie. It is very funny and is full of good music, both classical (William Tell Overture) and tin pan alley (Turkey in the Straw). "Thru the Mirror" is a fun-but-dated take-off on Lewis Carroll's classics "Through The Looking Glass" and "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". 1941's "Lend A Paw" won an Academy Award for Short Subject with its classic "Good Pluto"/"Bad Pluto" storyline. Next, Donald Duck stars in the "Orphan's Picnic" with scores of naughty little mice who are truly out for a good time. This is followed by "The Worm Turns" featuring a pre-Sorceror's Apprentice Mickey Mouse up to some familiar tricks, mixing a strength potion to be used only on the underdogs. "Mickey's Surprise Party" is a cute little vignette starring Mickey and Minnie, their respective pooches, and some cookies with bite. "Mickey and the Seal" features the ever-irascible Pluto and an adorable little seal pup. "Mickey's Trailer" stars the unbeatable trio of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy out on the open road for a very wild ride. "Canine Caddy" teams Pluto and Mickey with a goofy gopher for a not-so-relaxing round of golf. "Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip" again pits Mickey and Pluto against a pet-peeved train conductor in the form of Pegleg Pete and is the last color cartoon on the video. The collection closes with "Steamboat Willie", the first synchronized-sound cartoon ever made which showcases Mickey in his original impish glory. Even though this is only available on VHS, I find that the picture and sound quality are quite good and that the variety of the selections and the intrinsic value of the cartoons themselves are well worth the price of purchase.

Once again Mickey Mouse shows us lots of the most popular Mickey Mouse cartoons of all time (Including a big suprise!) I'm not gonna tell you the cartoons but i really enjoy them. These cartoons are the funniest, jokers of all cartoons ("Ed, Ed, 'n' Eddy" is dumb, and not a good cartoon.) If you get this movie, get a couch, pop some popcorn, then get ready for the cartoon of your life!

This is a wonderful example of Disney at its best. My two-year old and three-year old love this movie beginning to end. It is one of the videos I actually enjoying watching over and over again. I would recommend it for people age 1 to 99.

First of all, I would just like to say this is a great video. There are many excellent cartoons on here. They are as follows: "The Band Concert", "Thru The mirror", "Lend A Paw","Orphan's Picnic", "The Worm Turns", "Mickey's surprise party","Mickey and the Seal", "Mickey's Trailer", "Canine Caddy", "Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip". And last, but certainly not least, the first Mickey Mouse cartoon ever,"STEAMBOAT WILLIE"!!!! This is a great video for any Disney fan. Young or old, it dosen't matter at all.

My 2 year old loves this night light. She loves the fact that she can turn it on and off before and after bed time. Mom and dad like that fact that it has a switch and we don't have to unplug it to turn it off. Designs are cute as well. Great addition to any Mickey room!!

Shipping was sent out fast and I love the product, but, my plug in the bathroom is the opposite of the nightlight plug so I have to put it in upside down. But other than that, I love it. Thank you.

After several years of trying to locate Fantasia on DVD locally, I turned to Amazon to obtain both films. Needless to say, I am knocked out by the DVD versions and on my new Sony HD set with a Blu-Ray player spinning the discs, I am not disappointed. In fact, I want to view the films in total black some night so I can truly have the experience. Mr Stokowski knew exactly how to handle the music and disney knew how the animation should go. That is why Fantasia has always ranked high on my list of must haves. Fantasia 2000 with Levine wasn't too bad either. I think that having Roy Disney on as animator helped that film. As an example of great animation, these two films are fantastic. the third disc in the set which has all the extra stuff is also good. I just never though there was that much left over from a project of this magnitude. all I can say: If you haven't seen Fantasia on DVD, get hold of this set as you will soon see what I saw upon initial viewing: A fantastic piece of film that is worthy of a place in the film collection.

The DVD arrived quickly and was in excellent condition. I've already watched it twice. Thank you.

Have been looking for some time to replace/upgrade my VHS tape version of Fantasia so was happy to see this on Amazon. Was not disappointed in any way when the DVD arrived and I watched it. Thanks Craig

Great DVD. My greatchildren are enjoying it a lot. The item was delivered in a timely manner and in the condition just as described. I will not hesitate to buy again from this seller.

I have always loved Fantasia ever since I was little. But about ten years ago, one of my VCRs decided to destroy the tape version and I was damn well pissed. Years later I finally got it on DVD, but this time it's even better than ever. Even though this film is 70 years old, it's still an awe-inspiring film that still amazes to this very day. WHAT IT'S ABOUT: I can't really give a plot summary because this film jumps all over the place. It's basically a series of music videos for classical music as well as some romantic period music. The shorts are either abstract objects or some tell their own stories. MUSIC: The music is absolutely magnificent and is made even better by the animated shorts created for them. There is nothing wrong with this area. ACTING: There is really none. There is not much in terms of dialogue except from the host and one small Mickey Mouse part. Other than that there is nothing else to it. ACTION: This film is very surreal and odd, and almost makes you question if perhaps these film-makers were on some sort of hallucinogenic drugs. This film is also very random from the abstract pieces to musical scenes involving dance sequences with alligators, hippos, ostriches, and elephants all in one, to telling the tale of the Earth's creation and the life and death of the dinosaurs, to a tale of sorcery and brooms coming to life, to a small bit about Satan and then being followed by playing Avi Maria, to Greek mythology, and more, this film has so much packed in that's just so strange. However, if you're easily bored you will hate this film because there is almost no talking. In this DVD version there are new scenes not seen since its release in 1940 such as more dialogue from the host as well other extras such as interviews. OVERALL: This film is still amazing even after 70 years and there is no question as to how it has gone on to become a classic. With beautiful animation and music, this film soars high and will leave a definite impression upon you. THE GOOD: Great animation, magnificent music, inspired music videos, new features, and it feels like a wonderful and surreal dream. THE BAD: It can get a tad dull and there is almost no dialogue.

Average Rating:

Groundbreaking on several counts, not the least of which was an innovative use of animation and stereophonic sound, this ambitious Disney feature has lost nothing to time since its release in 1940. Classical music was interpreted by Disney animators, resulting in surreal fantasy and playful escapism...

My 2-1/2 year old grandson is into "everything Mickey" and absolutely loves this video. It is a compilation of several of the episodes that are shown on the Disney Channel, however, so note that this is *not* new, original, unseen material.

I bought this video just to introduce my son to Mickey Mouse and some of the other Disney characters, thinking "he'll watch it once or twice and then get bored with it." Yeah, not so much! He LOVES IT!! It has bright colors, songs, and it's interactive, which he gets way into. He even wakes up some mornings saying "I wanna watch Mickey Gouse (what he calls him!) and the Mystery Mousketools!" Soooo cute!

this is a christmas gift so i havent opened it yet but no problem with purchasing.

I bought this DVD for my 11 month old son and he absolutely adores it.

My 2-1/2 year old grandson loves this DVD. He is a great fan of "Mickey Mouse" Clubhouse. He is familiar with the characters and follows the stories with great enthusiasm and much participation.

These socks are super cute! Its great to find some cool socks for baby boys.

Mickey Mouse and Trumpette?? A+. You will love this, just remember that they will shrink a bit after the first wash and dry.

These socks are very cute and really stay on, but they're already a little too small for my average-sized 6-month old.

Loved Trumpettes since we first saw them. Haven't seen a better price anywhere. Do order a size up. 0-12 months would not fit 3-mo old nephew, went with 12-24.

I bought the 7 dwarfs set of these socks. To be honest I found them to be on the small side. My child is < 1 year of age and does not have big feet, and the 1-2 year size fits him just right. I doubt that he'll be able to wear them for more than a few months. They do stay on fairly well. However, do they stay on better than other socks, I would not say that. He still manages to kick them off. And these socks shed. The argyle design would leave tons of puff in between his toes the first 5-6 times that he wore each pair. I found that annoying. None of his other socks have done that. I'm just glad that I did not pay full price.

Creation and debut

Mickey was created as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, an earlier cartoon character created by the Disney studio for Charles Mintz of Universal Studios.

When Disney asked for a larger budget for his popular Oswald series, Mintz announced he had hired the bulk of Disney's staff, but that Disney could keep doing the Oswald series, as long as he agreed to a budget cut and went on the payroll. Mintz owned Oswald and thought he had Disney over a barrel. Angrily, Disney refused the deal and returned to produce the final Oswald cartoons he contractually owed Mintz. Disney was dismayed at the betrayal by his staff, but determined to restart from scratch. The new Disney Studio initially consisted of animator Ub Iwerks and a loyal apprentice artist, Les Clark. One lesson Disney learned from the experience was to thereafter always make sure that he owned all rights to the characters produced by his company.

In the spring of 1928, Disney asked Ub Iwerks to start drawing up new character ideas. Iwerks tried sketches of frogs, dogs and cats, but none of these appealed to Disney. A female cow and male horse were also rejected. They would later turn up as Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar. Walt Disney got the inspiration for Mickey Mouse from his old pet mouse he used to have on his farm. In 1925, Hugh Harman drew some sketches of mice around a photograph of Walt Disney. These inspired Ub Iwerks to create a new mouse character for Disney called Mickey Mouse.

"We felt that the public, and especially the children, like animals that are cute and little. I think we are rather indebted to Charlie Chaplin for the idea. We wanted something appealing, and we thought of a tiny bit of a mouse that would have something of the wistfulness of Chaplin — a little fellow trying to do the best he could."

"When people laugh at Mickey Mouse, it's because he's so human; and that is the secret of his popularity."

"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing — that it was all started by a mouse." — Walt Disney

Mr. Disney originally named the character Mortimer Mouse, but his wife insisted that this was a poor name choice.

Plane Crazy

Mickey and Minnie debuted in the cartoon short Plane Crazy, first released on May 15, 1928. The cartoon was co-directed by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. Iwerks was also the main animator for this short, and reportedly spent six weeks working on it. In fact, Iwerks was the main animator for every Disney short released in 1928 and 1929. Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising also assisted Disney during those years. They had already signed their contracts with Charles Mintz, but he was still in the process of forming his new studio and so for the time being they were still employed by Disney. This short would be the last they animated under this somewhat awkward situation.

The plot of Plane Crazy was fairly simple. Mickey is apparently trying to become an aviator in emulation of Charles Lindbergh. After building his own aircraft, he proceeds to ask Minnie to join him for its first flight, during which he repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempts to kiss her, eventually resorting to force. Minnie then parachutes out of the plane. While distracted by her, Mickey loses control of the plane. This becomes the beginning of an out-of-control flight that results in a series of humorous situations and eventually in the crash-landing of the aircraft.

Mickey as portrayed in Plane Crazy was mischievous, amorous, and has often been described as a rogue. At the time of its first release, however, Plane Crazy apparently failed to impress audiences, and to add insult to injury, Walt could not find a distributor. Though understandably disappointed, Walt went on to produce a second Mickey short: The Gallopin' Gaucho.
