Disney Goofy

Posted by admin | Disney Goofy |

Goofy is an animated cartoon character from Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse universe. He is an anthropomorphic dog and is one of Mickey Mouse's best friends. His original concept name was "Dippy Dawg" in cartoon shorts created during the 1930s; then his name was given as "George Geef" or "G.G. Geef" in cartoon shorts during the 1950s (implying that "Goofy" was a nickname). Contemporary sources, show A Goofy Movie, now give the character's full name to be Goofy Goof.

I highly recomend it for anyone who is a Goofy fan.

This CD (and movie) is perfect for those of us who grew up in the disco era and remember them fondly. It's nice to listen to songs that I enjoy and are appropriate for little ears too! My preschool sons love the songs and sing along as much as to any children's music. I am actually purchasing a second copy because we wore the first one out!

The movie was great! I saw it four times in a row. That's because the music was hip and groovy. I liked the songs called "The Pressure Drop" and the song by Cleopatra. I recommend this to anyone who loves Goofy!

Average Rating:

Who would have thunk Goofy had such hipness in him? Probably the least funkiest or hippest 'toon in the Disney universe, he's not only gotten his own movie, he can also claim this hot soundtrack! Retro rules the day on An Extremely Goofy Movie Dance Party, with commanding remakes of "Shake Your Groove Thing" (performed by Peaches and Herb), "Right Back Where We Started From" (done by teen group Cleopatra), and a host of other older songs from a studio session band that revisits "Knock on Wood," "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing," and "Nowhere to Run...

MAN I MISS THIS SOUNDTRACK! ALL OF THE SONGS, ESPECIALLY THE POWERLINE SONGS, ARE REALLY GREAT!!! DISNEY, PLEASE BRING THIS SOUNDTRACK BACK!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I happened to see this movie today on the Disney channel!! It was awesome, I was 8 when this movie came out, and it returned me to a much better time!!! The 90's were awesome, they just don't make movies like they used to. And 1 2 1 might just be Tevin Campbell's best song!!!! No argument, this album is fantastic, I'm so glad I found it!!!!!

I love this soundtrack! If I could get even a copy of it would be amazing. Disney really needs to re-release it again, the library doesnt even have it and they have almost all the disney soundtracks! I've always loved the music from this movie, but i never liked the movie till I watched it again now that I'm almost out of high school. I've totally fallen in love with it. It's a great teen/family movie and soundtrack

This album has three of the most addicting songs I've ever heard: "I 2 I", "Stand Out", and "After Today". They're just those kinds of songs you can sing along to all day and never get tired of it. They're also great to listen to if you're feelin' down. I'd definitely recommend this soundtrack.

I really love this soundtrack. However, I didn't buy it because it was so expensive! I couldn't find it anywhere...that is until I went to Disney World! If you are in Disney World, you can find this soundtrack on Main Street for $15.98. When I found this out, the next time I went to Disney World (last week), I was sure to grab a copy! So Disney World is the best place to buy the CD. I thought I would pass the information along. Money aside, I love this CD a lot! My favorites are "I2I" and "Stand Out." I highly recommend it!

I watched this movie as a child, and now I enjoy watching this movie with my son! All around great movie. You won't be dissappointed! In fact, I bought this DVD to replace the DVD my son broke. I just couldn't stand the thought of not having it!

Ever since I was 5, I've loved this movie! I haven't watched it in years, and I saw it on tv yesterday and was a good way to refresh my memory. On the last day of school, Max Goof tries to impress Roxanne, a girl he likes. When he makes a fool of himself dressed as Powerline, a famous rock star, his dad takes him on a vacation. Goofy takes Max to weird places, but Max needs to get to the Powerline concert in L.A. to impress Roxanne again. Throughout the film, Max and Goofy get into fights because Max wants to live his own life. I love the part where Bigfoot dances to the Stayin' Alive song! I highly recommend A GOOFY MOVIE!!!

Since this is one of my favorite Disney movies, I decided to get the DVD and see if it was worth the money, but unfortunatley it wasn't. One of the biggest problems with the DVD is that the film is not presented in its original aspect ratio. Another problem is the special features included. Out of all the stuff included, I was expecting a "making of" featurette, but Disney was too lazy to include it, not to mention one was already made back during the film's release and aired on the Disney Channel. Everything else seems ok, the VHS version of this movie is probably two times better. In other words, this is a great film, but the DVD is simlpy stupid.

My 3 year old son loves this movie. He first saw it at his daycare, so I had to get it for him. There's music, singing and "goofy" things going on amidst a good father/son story. The only thing I found a little off-putting is the reference to the "electric chair" . Try explaining that to your kids. So far, my son hasn't asked...

My daughter who is 3 1/2 years old almost 4 years old LOVES GOOFY, she will watch this movie over and over again, except she was getting alittle sassy from some of the scenes, so we had to stop watching it for a little bit. It is a cute show and as she gets older there are some good lessons in the movie.

Enchanted [Blu-ray] Enchanted [Blu-ray]

this is a really good movie and the acting is awesome amy adams is an excellent actress in this movie. enchanted is funny and heartwarmming at the same time i recommend this movie for everyone

I loved it, it was awesome, i am 40 and just watched it with my daughters It brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eyes. It is really an incredible movie and I am saying that as a man. I mean it is a movie you could watch over and over like ELf or Princess Bride. Go out and buy it. I can't say enough about it.

It's a disney style fairy tale. It has a similar feel to the movie "Elf" It's a good movie

Enchanted is smartly put together and fun to watch. The story begins with the generic animation of a sweet girl name Giselle (Amy Adams), surrounded by talking and singing animals. She wants to find her true love as a handsome prince (James Marsden) trots through the forest on his trusty horse. Of course they finally see each other and fall in love. He proposes marriage and a day later they are to be married. This is usually where the story ends with "they lived happily ever after." The Prince has a wicked stepmother played by Susan Sarandan. She looks like the stepmother in Disney's classic Sleeping Beauty. She is jealous that the prince has finally found a girl to love, because if he marries, she will lose her throne. So she tricks Giselle to look down a well and pushes her down into the real world. Giselle ends up in the middle of Times Square in New York City, dressed in a flouncy frock but still full of sweet positive thoughts and a perky personality. The evil queen keeps her eye on Giselle and threatens to kill her with a poisoned apple. Giselle ends up in the home of a divorced divorce attorney and his young daughter. He is engaged to be married, but takes Giselle in because she is so helpless and his daughter loves her princess like qualities. The script and actors are fantastic and many scenes I laughed out loud - Amy Adams is a comedian and Patrick Dempsey helps the story along in many places. The movie is smart and funny

We enjoyed this movie so much. If we could only look at life through the eyes that Jazale the princess did. She showed us that being honest is the true way to happiness and love. We should all be so blessed to find our true love and live happily ever after.

The Fox and the Hound 2 The Fox and the Hound 2

With an all-star cast and great music, my kids love it (yet sometimes I think I am enjoying it more):-} Fast delivery too.

This is a wonderful movie (quality and all) that has a beautiful message attached. I must say that this is a powerful movie and the information that is presented is one that will not be forgotten

I think it's a great movie, I like it better than the first one because it's not all about hunting and killing.

Buying online saved me $12 over WalMart. Movie is cute and my granddaughters (age 5 and 8) love it! They sing the songs over and over.

What a mess. At the very beginning one of my young sons realized that the fox and the hound were babies again and they didn't understand what was going on. Was Disney so creatively bankrupt that they couldn't figure out how to come up with a continuation of the original Fox and the Hound? Here's some ideas for Fox and Hound 3: Some evil real estate developers buy up all the woods and farm land and the grown-up fox and hound organize a revolt among all the forest critters. The Fox's puppies and the Hound move to the city and share an apartment. What could go wrong? The Fox and the Hound notice that climate change is ruining the forest, and they work together to fight global warming. One of the Fox's offspring and one of the Hound's offspring get together and start hanging around with the wrong crowd at the local junkyard and...oops, that was Lady and the Tramp 2. Anyway, there's certainly a lot that could have been done with this, but I wish they hadn't done something so disorienting to the little ones.

The Goof Troop pilot also refers to "G. G. Goof" on a diploma, likely a reference to the original name. Along with being not extremely intelligent, Goofy's main flaw is, predictably, clumsiness. On the map in A Goofy Movie that shows the trip that Goofy senior and his father took, it says that the map belongs to Benjamin Goof, most likely the given name of Goofy's father. According to Goofy (from Goof Troop) he was born under the sign, "Here lies the chook (hen) eggs" in California as the first-born Goof in America, even as we have seen or heard of ancestors of Goofy who has lives there before. While his wife was drawn in different styles and shown only during shorts when he was cast in "family man" situations, Goofy is unique in being portrayed as being both a widower and a single father raising a son, Max Goof, instead of having only a nephew like some other major Disney characters including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Goofy does have a nephew, Gilbert, but that relative has hardly been seen since Goofy became known as a father. Goofy also has an adventurer relative Indiana Goof (a spoof of Indiana Jones).

Goofy's catch phrase is "gawrsh!" which is his usual exclamation of surprise.
